The two awards are 3rd place in Organizing the Cheap Food Movement (GPM) and 3rd place in Food Reserve Management.

For this reason, the Head of the Food Security and Agriculture Service, Gin Gin Ginanjar, admitted that he was grateful for the award he had received.

He said this success was an assessment of the performance of the city of Bandung in maintaining the stability of food supplies and prices through GPM which was considered quite massive.

"Moreover, yesterday we had the GPM On the road innovation. We are entering areas relatively far from the market, we want to cover 151 sub-districts," said Gin Gin, Saturday, November 25 2023.

"This is the first innovation in West Java apart from us GPM on site. We are also mobile using vehicles," he added

Meanwhile for food reserve management, said Gin Gin, Bandung City is considered to have the ability to manage food reserves by having independent food reserves apart from Bulog.

"The city of Bandung also has independent food reserves in the form of rice which can help with food availability. Then reports and data on our food reserves are always available and the condition of food reserves that are always available and sufficient is one of the assessment criteria." he said.

He said that the Cheap Food Movement has proven to be able to maintain food price stability. In the future, the Bandung City DKPP will continue the GPM program and will be implemented in 30 communities simultaneously.

"We will continue GPM On The Road in addition to GPM in 30 sub-districts in 2024, we will do it simultaneously. We will also open food kiosks which will coordinate with MSMEs and Perumda Pasar to prepare kiosks that we supply from farmers," he said. (rob)**
