Porpemda XV Update: City of Bandung Temporarily Successfully Wins 14 Medals

Regional Government Sports Week (Porpemda) XI is entering its final round. The Bandung City contingent as of Tuesday, November 28 2023 at 13.00 WIB has succeeded in winning 14 medals with details of 3 gold medals, 7 silver medals and 4 bronze medals.

The three gold medals were awarded in the billiards category for 9 ball doubles, women's volleyball and most recently, men's team walking.

Performing brilliantly, the Bandung City men's team march managed to outperform its rival Bekasi Regency who had to settle for a silver medal and Garut Regency won bronze in the match held at Pandapa Kuningan - Kuningan Islamic Center, Tuesday 28 November 2023.

Due to these results, the Manager of the men's team walking team, Yayan Ahmad Brilyana, admitted that he was grateful for the achievements obtained. He assessed that these results were the result of the hard work of the entire team, including athletes, coaches and officials.

"Thank God, this result is the result of all of our hard work, especially all the athletes and coaches. We would like to thank the Acting Mayor of Bandung and the Regional Secretary of the City of Bandung who have provided support and guidance all this time. We dedicate this victory to the City of Bandung," said Yayan.

Meanwhile, the Bandung City Contingent also won 7 silver medals from the West Java Champion gymnastics sports, men's doubles table tennis, men's team hurdles, women's team stilts, and men's, women's and men's team blowguns.

Meanwhile, 4 silver medals were won in the 10 ball double billiards category, men's team badminton, men's team table tennis and men's team stilts.

The Bandung City contingent also still has the opportunity to win medals in a number of sports.

For information, a total of 2,383 athletes from 15 sports competed in Porpemda from various districts and cities in West Java.
