"The government has an obligation to provide protection to the community. The government must carry out the mandate of the law. It's called protecting the poor category of people, one of whom is in Babakan Ciparay District under the Rutilahu program," said Acting Mayor of Bandung, Bambang Tirtoyuliono on the sidelines of monitoring, Tuesday December 5, 2023.

He added that the conditions for getting assistance include having legal ownership of the house and a deed of sale and purchase.

"That house must have proof of ownership, a sale and purchase deed," he said.

Bambang revealed that the amount of assistance was IDR 20 million per house. Meanwhile, in Babakan Ciparay sub-district there are 79 houses that received Rutilahu assistance.

"The amount is IDR 20 million per house. In the Babakan Ciparay sub-district, I symbolically visited 5 houses. However, in total, 79 houses received assistance here," he explained.

Apart from visiting recipients of the Rutilahu program, Bambang also had the opportunity to monitor children with the potential for stunting in the area.

"We provide education to parents. Because previously stunting could be overcome by providing good nutrition," he explained.

He appealed to parents to pay attention to the nutrition they consume as well as their surrounding environment.

"We are also helping to encourage parents to care, to ensure that their children are not affected by stunting," he said.

As his next effort, Bambang also has a plan to use the area to be more caring for people in need.

"Here (Babakan Ciparay) the tofu product is synonymous, the big industry encourages them to become foster fathers. So that people can be helped to earn additional income," he said. (yan)**
