One of the Bandung City Government's efforts to resolve waste emergencies is by operating the Gedebage Integrated Waste Processing Site (TPST).

Bambang said that the Gedebage TPST can process 60 mixed wastes which can be processed using various methods such as maggotization and RDF raw materials.

"The City Government continues to try to find solutions for handling waste. One of these TPSTs is temporary in nature, so because of the emergency that occurred here yesterday, we are projecting that it will be able to process 60 tons of mixed waste which is processed in such a way and could be of extraordinary value," said Bambang. while visiting the Gedebage TPST, Wednesday 13 December 2023.

Currently, said Bambang, the operation of the Gedebage TPST is entering the trial phase and is capable of processing around 7 tons of waste.

"Right now this trial is only around 7 tonnes per day so we feel optimistic," he said.

Not only that, he also said that currently the Waste Free Zone (KBS) in Bandung City continues to increase. There are 278 RWs that have become KBS, one of which is RW 01, Sukamiskin Village, Arcamanik District.

He said that community enthusiasm and participation in waste management was very high. He is optimistic that this will spread to all RWs in Bandung City.

"In this community it turns out to be quite good. In Bandung City there are at least 278 RW levels to become KBS. So how can the waste per RW really run out," he said.

With these various efforts, he is optimistic that the city of Bandung will quickly solve the waste problem and get out of the emergency period.

"Hopefully the waste emergency in the city of Bandung can be resolved little by little. Changes in mindset in society have begun to occur," he said. (rob)**
