Contributing to the Success of the U-17 World Cup, West Java Provincial Government Appreciates Bandung City Government

This appreciation was given by the Acting Governor of West Java, Bey Triadi Machmudin to the Acting Mayor of Bandung, Bambang Tirtoyuliono, at the 2023 Indonesian U-17 World Cup Appreciation Night in the West Java Region, at Sport Jabar Arcamanik, Tuesday 19 December 2023 evening.

"Thank God, we (Bandung City Government) received appreciation from the West Java Provincial Government. This is a form of our support for the world of sports," said Acting Mayor of Bandung, Bambang Tirtoyuliono.

He hopes that this appreciation will be a motivation to continue supporting the world of sports.

"Hopefully this will be an encouragement for us to continue to support providing a proper space for the world of sport," he said.

In the same place, the Head of the Bandung City Youth and Sports Service, Eddy Marwoto expressed his gratitude for the appreciation from the West Java Provincial Government.

"We have received appreciation, so far we have continued to support the U-17 World Cup. We have assets such as the Sidolig Stadium, which is categorized as an international standard. This is our motivation to develop other assets," explained Eddy.

According to him, the Bandung City Government plans to use sports assets more optimally. Both for the community and used for other sporting activities.

"We are talking with the West Java Provincial Government, asking for other assistance channels from the province or the PUPR Ministry," he said.

Next year, continued Eddy, the Bandung City Government will remain focused on increasing the development of existing sports facility infrastructure assets.

"In 2024 we will remain focused on improving the development of existing sports facility asset infrastructure. This is our motivation for the same standards as Sidolig," he stressed.

Meanwhile, the Acting Governor of West Java, Bey Triadi Machmudin, admitted that during the football tournament, he also monitored and ensured the suitability of sports facilities in West Java.

"The coaches present tested it, the results were they were satisfied because the atmosphere was comfortable and there were lots of fields. This was thanks to the support of all parties," he said.

He emphasized that maintaining sports facilities should be carried out regularly so that they are well maintained.

"Successfully implemented it well, as a place for matches and training. But we must not forget to maintain it. I ask the Head of the Youth and Sports Service to manage the stadium so that it is productive and maintained forever," he explained.
