Bandung City KPU Begins Plenary Recapitulation of 2024 Election Votes, Acting Mayor: Hopefully All Parties Accept It

The opening of the Plenary Meeting for Recapitulation and Calculation of Votes and Determination of the Results of the 2024 General Election at Bandung City Level was attended by the Acting Mayor of Bandung, Bambang Tirtoyuliono, who was represented by the Head of the National Unity and Politics Agency (Kesbangpol), Bambang Sukardi. On that occasion, Bambang said that the election voting process in Bandung City on February 14 2024 went smoothly, safely and conducively. For this reason, he hopes that the recapitulation process that will be carried out can run safely, orderly and smoothly, and can be accepted by all parties. "Hopefully this condition will continue in the next stages, including the stage of recapitulation of the calculation of vote results and determination of election results which will be held today," he said when reading the written speech of the Acting Mayor of Bandung. "This is so that the family spirit is maintained, the potential for conflict can be minimized and the community can remain productive," he added. He reminded election organizers to work more carefully, carefully and focus on their duties. Meanwhile, Chairman of the Bandung City General Election Commission (KPU), Wenti Prihadianti, said that the recapitulation of ballot papers at the city level had begun in line with the completion of the vote count at the sub-district level. "It was completed at the sub-district level last night (Wednesday, February 28 2024). It's finished, there are still those who are completing the finalization and administration, namely in the Kiaracondong and Batununggal sub-districts. Hopefully it can be finished today," said Wenti after the opening Plenary Meeting, Thursday 29 February 2024.
