Ahead of Ramadan and Idul Fitri, Bandung City Government will Subsidize Basic Needs in 30 Districts
In order to welcome the Holy month of Ramadan and Idul Fitri 1445 H, the Bandung City Government (Pemkot) is trying to control inflation and price affordability. One of them is by subsidizing basic needs in 30 sub-districts of Bandung City.
“We will subsidize basic needs. "This is an effort to control inflation and affordability of prices," said Secretary of the Bandung City Trade and Industry Service (Disdagin), Dedi Priadi Nugraha.
The plan, said Dedi, is that this basic needs subsidy activity will be carried out on March 26-28.
Dedi explained that the basic food packages sold to beneficiaries were initially priced at IDR 163,500 with a subsidy of IDR 100,000.
"So the beneficiary only pays IDR 63,500," said Dedi.
The contents of the basic food packages include; premium rice weighing 5 kg, premium cooking oil (1 liter), premium sugar (1 kg), corned beef (1 can) and wheat flour (1 kg).
The beneficiaries, he said, are according to the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS) in the Bandung City Social Service (Dinsos) plus the stunting category by 10 percent.
"For the beneficiaries, we adjust it to the DTKS in the Social Service plus 10 percent for the stunting category," he explained.
So, added Dedi, if a pregnant or breastfeeding mother wants to buy a basic food package, she is entitled to receive a subsidy. (ziz)**
