Residents can buy a package for Rp. 60,000 which contains 5 kg of premium rice, 1 liter of cooking oil and 4 instant noodles.

Representative of the Concerned Chinese Community, Joni Toat, said that this activity was held in 10 locations with 10,000 basic food packages available for the community.

"Today is the fifth day out of a total of 10 days. We are holding it in 10 locations to hold a cheap market from the Caring Chinese Community with a total of 10,000 packages," he said.

"Today we are preparing 1,100 basic food packages," he added.

He revealed that people can get the package after getting a coupon from the RT or RW.

"If we are anyone, that's fine, because we see that there are many people here who live in Bandung, but don't have Bandung ID cards. I think they also need it because they work and live in Bandung," he explained.

He explained that it was carried out during Ramadan because currently the prices of basic commodities are still high. The hope is that this bazaar can ease the burden on the community.

This bazaar was also appreciated by the Daily Executive Regional Secretary for Bandung City, Hikmat Ginanjar.

"The Caring Chinese Community contributes to providing cheap bazaar activities to residents. This is beneficial for residents in Bandung City," said Hikmat.

"This activity is a strategic step during Ramadan, including providing happiness to residents," he said.

Meanwhile, Plt. Bandung City Disdagin, Ronny Ahmad Nurudin, revealed that this activity was part of the 4K carried out by Disdagin to stabilize prices of basic commodities.

"There are 4K (Affordability, Stability, Availability, Smooth distribution and effective communication). Today is effective communication, a collaboration with foundations to provide basic needs for the community, namely rice, oil and instant noodles," he said.

One of the residents, Yuyun, felt helped by this cheap bazaar.

At a low price, he gets 3 types of ingredients for his daily needs.

"The price is easy, you get 3 types, rice, oil and noodles. Thank God this helps," he said. (yan)**
