Cleaning activities to make city sidewalks enjoyable and superior (FOR YOU) are becoming more widely known and have received appreciation from the public and community. The third edition of this program was held at Cicendo Square, Tuesday 19 March 2024 evening.
As is known, this activity was organized by the Water Resources and Highways Service (DSDABM) involving community elements, students and the public in the city of Bandung.
Dadang Furqan, a teacher at SMA Negeri 9 is one of them. He, who came to accompany his students, welcomed the FOR YOU activities.
"There are 15 students taking part today from OSIS members and other students. This event is very good for training students to love their environment. Especially the closest environment in Cicendo District," he said.
Apart from the educational element, FOR YOU, the community element is also appreciated. One of them is River Clean Up, a community that focuses on environmental issues.
They 'sent' four of their employees to attend the third edition of the FOR YOU activity. And all four admitted that they really welcomed this activity positively.
"We have been joining since the second point in Ujungberung District some time ago. In our opinion, this activity is very good. The City Government involves community elements, the younger generation and society in protecting the city of Bandung," said Farel, one of the River Clean Up members.
He, representing River Clean Up, hopes that this activity can be carried out consistently throughout the city of Bandung.
Not only collaborating with the younger generation, FOR YOU also involving 'seniors'. One of them is the West Java Elderly Friendly Indonesian Community.
When approached by Bandung City Public Relations, the group of women from this community looked happy and admitted they were happy to be involved in the FOR YOU event.
"The average age of us is over 60 years. Our activities are like school, listening to a number of materials. In our eyes, this event is very good. We feel involved in protecting the city of Bandung," said a mother who is familiarly called Mrs. Mamah on behalf of her friends. this friend.
For your information, this activity was first held at Cikapundung Riverspot in January 2024. The next point is at Ujungberung Square. FOR YOU is also projected to be held in 30 sub-districts throughout Bandung City.
At each event, BANGKA KAMU involves around 300 volunteers from government and community elements. Among others: West Java Elderly Friendly Indonesian Community, Greater Bandung Forkom Community, River Clean Up, Rescue River Indonesia, Love Nature Indonesia (CAI), Cikapundung Cikalapa (Cika-Cika) Nature Reserve, BMX System Bandung, Indonesian Brotherhood Ecology & Conservation Community , as well as the Parkour Community.
