From these statistics, Bandung City Government and Social Welfare Assistant, Asep Saeful Gufron appealed to Bandung City residents to be able to prevent dengue fever.

One of the efforts is to optimize a comfortable environment, by implementing Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS). This pattern is believed to be able to create a clean and comfortable environment.

"There are many cases of dengue fever. In hospitals, many dengue fever patients come for treatment. I appeal to the public, let's optimize environmental cleanliness and avoid standing water," said Asep Saeful Gufron at the Ramadan Safari activity, Wednesday 20 March 2024.

"We are still entering the rainy season. But BMKG information is that the current rainy season is not long, because the dry season is quite long. This also requires anticipation. This transition period is where there are lots of mosquitoes that cause dengue fever," said Asep.

Nevertheless, the city of Bandung is implementing Wolbachia technology. Asep hopes that Walbachia will be able to suppress the spread of dengue fever.

"There are two areas that are implementing it, namely in Ujungberung District and Kiaracondong District. This is the government's effort to solve the dengue problem," he said. (yan)**
