The term 'KLIK Check' was explained by the Chair of the Inspection Team at the Bandung Food Drug Monitoring Center (BBPOM), Leni Maryati in the Bandung Answering segment at Bandung City Hall, Thursday 21 March 2024.

He explained that the CLICK means checking 4 elements in the food and medicine products you want to buy or consume. Namely: Packaging, Label, Distribution Permit, and Expiry.

"Do a CLICK Check. The public can also check (regarding the four elements in question) via the BPOM Mobile application. Just enter the distribution permit number printed on the product packaging," he explained.

Apart from this method, people can also scan the code (scan barcode) printed on the food or medicine product they want to consume.

On the other hand, Leni explained the efforts made by BBPOM Bandung, including by monitoring food and medicine. Starting from traditional stalls, retail, to pharmacies.

"We monitor the quality of the products. It's true that it's not a certain type of medicine or food, we look at the composition," explained Leni.

Apart from that, Leni admitted that she continues to monitor food parcels or takjil which are widely sold during Ramadan. In Bandung City, supervision and feasibility testing of takjil food will be carried out on March 28 2024.

"We are carrying out a test, a kind of rapid test to ensure the safety of the food. In Bandung City it will be held on March 28 2024 at Pusdai," he explained.

He hopes that the people of Bandung City will become smart consumers by ensuring that they check CLICK before consuming food or medicine.

Not only that, BBPOM Bandung also opens a complaint service if the public finds food or medicine products that do not comply with Cek KLIK. You can report it to the service number 08119900533.

"Please report to us if you find products that do not have a distribution permit," concluded Leni. (ray)**
