Homecoming Season: Eid Transport Must Be Safe, Comfortable and Safe
The Bandung City Government (Pemkot) asks all elements involved in Eid transportation to serve the community well. This is to ensure that Eid transport operations run safely, comfortably and safely for the community.

Hikmat said that the Bandung City Government is determined to maintain the safety and comfort of travelers during this year's Eid homecoming season.
"Hopefully all the preparations that have been made can have a positive impact on the community when traveling home," he hoped.
Meanwhile Plt. Head of the Bandung City Transportation Service, Asep Kuswara, stated that he would deploy 706 personnel to monitor Eid transport operations which will be carried out on D-7 to D+7 of Eid Al-Fitr Day 1445 Hijriah.
This includes holding safety inspections or ramp checks at Leuwipanjang Terminal and Cicaheum Terminal on April 3-18 2024. Supervision will be tightened at the Bandung City Bus Pool from March 27 to April 2 2024.
"Traffic arrangements will be carried out in 38 locations prone to congestion with two shifts from 07.00 to 14.00 WIB and 14.00 to 20.00 WIB," explained Asep.
Apart from that, he said, Pospam will be placed in 10 strategic locations such as Simpang Dago, Gedung Sate and Leuwipanjang Terminal on the same schedule.
In an effort to provide optimal service to the community, the Bandung City Transportation Department has also prepared supporting facilities at the terminal.
These include waiting rooms and health rooms in collaboration with the Health Department, providing health workers, ambulances and medical equipment including urine tests for drivers.
Apart from that, the Bandung City Transportation Agency will also provide supporting facilities for road equipment during the Eid homecoming.
Meanwhile, on April 6 2024, there will be free homecoming departures from Cicaheum Terminal to a number of cities. (ziz)**
