Ahead of Idul Fitri, Bandung City Government and Pertamina Anticipate an Increase in LPG Demand of 3 Kg
Approaching Idul Fitri 1445 Hijriah, the need for 3 kg LPG gas or Si Melon in Bandung City has increased by around 2 percent.
Plt. Head of the Bandung City Industry and Trade Service (Disdagin), Ronny Ahmad Nurudin, said that the 3 Kg LPG allocation for 2024 of 93,199 metric tons (around 31,066,333 cylinders) has been determined to reach the needs of the community.
In March, with a quota of 2,445,520 tubes, the realization reached 1,921,358 tubes.
Responding to potential price fluctuations and needs that may occur, the Bandung City Government has prepared special steps. One of them is collaborating with Pertamina.
"If there is a significant spike in demand or unexpected price fluctuations, Pertamina will act quickly by increasing supply by 4 percent or around 200,000 tubes," said Ronny at Bandung City Hall, Wednesday, March 27 2024.
"This anticipation will start on April 3 - 17 2024. The latest data shows that there are 65 agents and 1,555 bases responsible for distributing 3 Kg LPG to communities in the Bandung City area," he added.
Ronny hopes that these steps can secure the supply of 3 Kg LPG. (ziz)**
