This assistance was marked by planting cayenne peppers and red onions as well as launching inflation control in the city of Bandung together with BJB Bank CSR in the Buruan Sae Sawargi Group RW 03, Cipadung Kidul Village, Panyileukan District, Monday 1 April 2024.

Head of the Bandung City Food Security and Agriculture Service, Gin Gin Ginanjar, said that the assistance would be provided to 30 locations and divided into two stages.

"This is the first stage. We also provide supporting facilities and infrastructure starting from pesticides, fertilizers and nurseries so that it is hoped that the group can carry out nurseries and the program will be sustainable," he said.

He explained that food is crucial in efforts to control inflation. Various efforts have been made with a food security approach and Buruan Sae has been able to control inflation.

According to him, one of the drivers of success in controlling inflation is the involvement of many parties. One of them is through BJB's CSR by simultaneously planting crops that contribute to inflation such as cayenne peppers and shallots.

"We are strengthening this with the collective planting movement. We would like to thank BJB and KTNA (Mainland Farmer Fishermen Contact) Bandung City who have provided assistance. Hopefully in June we can harvest and control inflation in Bandung City," he said.

Meanwhile, Acting Chair of the Bandung City Family Empowerment and Welfare Mobilization Team (TP PKK), Linda Nurani Hapsah welcomed the provision of cayenne pepper, shallot and tomato seeds in an effort to control inflation in Bandung City.

He said this assistance could provide food independence for families in the city of Bandung. He also hopes that the people of Bandung City can make planting activities a daily culture for residents.

"Hopefully after providing this assistance, people can plant and become a tradition in their respective environments. Planting becomes a place for friendship, increases the happiness index, and this is a blessing for all of us," he said. (rob)**
