Ramadan Safari: Baitul Mutaqien Antapani Grand Mosque Operates Rice ATM for 2 Years

The Baitul Mutaqien Antapani Grand Mosque in Bandung City has launched an innovative program by operating a Rice ATM for the last two years. This program is supported by the first grant from BMT BRI which allows mosques to provide rice assistance to residents in need.

“Since its launch, the Rice ATM program has provided assistance to more than 30 people every week. "Every person receives 3 liters of rice, so that in one month, approximately 10 kilograms of rice have been distributed to people in need," said Chairman of the Baitul Mutaqien Mosque Prosperity Council (DKM), Supramono during the Ramadan Safari, Monday, April 1 2024.

Apart from providing food aid, he said, the Baitul Mutaqien Grand Mosque is also active in providing services to the community through da'wah and other social activities.

Supramono thanked the Bandung City Government for the Baitul Mutaqien Great Mosque which had been chosen as one of the Ramadan 1445 H Safari points.

Meanwhile, Acting Regional Secretariat (Sekda) of Bandung City, Hikmat Ginanjar, representing the Bandung City Government, expressed his gratitude for the extraordinary reception to the congregation of the Baitul Mutaqien Grand Mosque.

"Thank you ladies and gentlemen for your welcome and the banquet. This friendly gathering really felt delicious," said Hikmat.

In the last 10 days of Ramadan, Hikmat invites the Muslims of Bandung City to increase their faith and piety.

Apart from that, Hikmat also thanked the residents for all their contributions in keeping the city of Bandung safe and conducive. (ziz)**
