This is the Bandung City Government's strategy for handling waste on Idul Fitri 1445H

The Bandung City Government (Pemkot) has prepared a strategy to handle the increasing volume of waste during the Idul Fitri 1445H celebration. By involving 993 personnel on takbir night, 222 personnel on D-day, and 753 personnel on H+1, the Bandung City Government is determined to maintain the cleanliness of the environment and the comfort of the community.

Head of the Bandung City Environmental Service, Dudy Prayudi, said that takbir night is the main focus of waste handling operations. A total of 993 personnel will be deployed at busy points for residents, especially in market areas, street vendors (PKL) and tourist attractions.

This aims to ensure that the waste generated during the takbir night can be immediately handled and cleaned.

"As has been announced, on Takbir night, street vendors can only sell until 23.00 WIB, so we can immediately move to deal with waste at that time," explained Dudy to the Bandung City Public Relations Team, Monday, April 8 2024.

On April 10 2024, 222 personnel will carry out special operations at locations used for Eid al-Fitr prayers and pilgrimage sites. This step was taken to maintain cleanliness and order in places of worship and maintain comfort for the congregation.

"On H+1, waste handling operations will be increased again by involving 753 personnel. They will target busy points of residents, especially at markets, street vendors and tourist attractions, to ensure that the remaining waste after the Eid al-Fitr celebrations can be handled immediately. ," said Dudy.

The Bandung City Government has also prepared a strategy for April 12 and April 13, involving 997 personnel and 1,103 personnel respectively.

The personnel on duty consist of the Field Coordinator, Sweeping Team, Transport Team and other Support Teams. They will work hard to ensure that the city of Bandung remains clean and comfortable during these two days.

With a well-planned strategy and strong cooperation between the government and the community, it is hoped that the City of Bandung can maintain a clean environment and create a comfortable and clean atmosphere during the Idul Fitri 1445H celebration.

Based on Circular Number 1707/PBLS.04/DLH regarding the determination of operational hours for TPK Sarimukti, it is explained that on the D day (Idul Fitri) TPK Sarimukti is closed.

Responding to this, Dudy conveyed his steps in handling waste in Bandung City on the D day.

1. Ciwastra TPS: SWK Kordoba and SWK Ubermanik
2. Under the Pasupati Flyover: SWK Cibeunying
3. Holis Park: SWK Tegalega
4. Ence Ajis: SWK Bojonegara
