MKJP IUD and Implant services are carried out at the Practicing Midwife, Midwife Eka Agustina, located on Jl Paledang Cibeureum, Campaka Andir Village, Bandung City.

IUD and Implant services will be carried out from November 28 to December 3 2023.

"Today the family planning celebration service was carried out at midwife Eka and thank God 22 acceptors were registered. "The MKJP KB celebration will be held until December 3," said Ade Nurhasanah, PBKK, Campaka Village, Andir District.

Ade said that the free MKJP family planning service was implemented as an effort to reduce stunting and reduce maternal and infant mortality. Including as an effort to socialize the fulfillment of reproductive rights to the people of Bandung City.

"We are working with PKK cadres to educate residents about the importance of family planning as an effort to prevent stunting and regulate pregnancy spacing," explained Ade.

Midwife Eka Agustina said that apart from spacing pregnancies, using birth control or contraceptives has many benefits.

"With the circulation of myths related to the use of family planning, quite a few people also refuse to have family planning installed. "Apart from spacing pregnancies, family planning is also useful for reducing the risk of disease and mental disorders," said Eka.

"If your first child is not yet one year old but already has a younger sibling, the child's growth and development will be disrupted. "Normally the distance between the first and second child is between 3-5 years, that's the importance of family planning," he continued.

A number of people are certainly very enthusiastic about this free family planning celebration program, one of which is Witri Pratiwi, a 29 year old resident of the Campaka sub-district, who is having an IUD installed.

“This family planning program is very helpful, it's free too. The service is very painstaking and very good. "I hope that programs like this can continue to be implemented," said Witri. (rer)**
