"Thank God, we received awards in three categories from Bank Indonesia. Of course, this is a motivation for us to work together to improve our services and achievements," said Bambang after receiving the award.

Currently, inflation in the city of Bandung is still the best at the West Java level. On the other hand, Head of the Economic Section of the Bandung City Regional Secretariat, TB Agus Mulyadi, said that Bandung City's economic growth was at 5.41 percent.

He added, in 2024 the city of Bandung is targeting economic growth at 5.71 percent.

"Despite the various challenges ahead, we are optimistic and targeting economic growth at 5.71 percent," he said.

Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Representative of Bank Indonesia (BI) West Java, Bambang Pramono, in his speech said that the West Java economy continued to grow positively in the second quarter of 2023 at 4.57% (yoy). This is driven by household consumption and investment realization.

He revealed that various efforts were made to increase investment in West Java. Apart from that, Bambang is also optimistic that West Java's economic growth can still be increased until the end of 2023.

"With various existing developments, we are optimistic that (West Java's) economic development can still grow in the range of 4.7 to 5.5 percent. Meanwhile, inflation is around 3 percent," he said.

In closing, Bambang said there were various structural challenges that had the potential to become factors holding back the acceleration of West Java's economic growth.

These include: increasing food prices, investment realization, sharia economics, and the use of digitalization. (ray)**
