Public Policy Expert Yogi Suprayogi Sugandi appreciates the performance of the Bandung City Government (Pemkot) which has continuously provided maximum service, especially during the pandemic.
This was stated by Yogi when he was a speaker at Bandung Answering at Taman Radio Jalan Ir. H. Juanda, Tuesday, January 4, 2022.
He recalled when he and his family were exposed to Covid-19 and received assistance from the Bandung City Government through regional elements.
“The City Government's assistance is real. It's not a gimmick," he said.
Yogi also highlighted the challenges faced by the city of Bandung in 2022.
He sees the current infrastructure development as a big challenge. As is known, the Bandung City Government is currently boosting infrastructure development such as flyovers in Kopo, for example.
In addition, some areas of Bandung are also crossed by the Indonesia-China Fast Train (KCIC).
Specifically regarding KCIC's infrastructure, according to Yogi, collaboration between the City of Bandung and cities in the Greater Bandung area is needed so that the infrastructure development can be truly felt by the community.
Meanwhile, Plt. Bandung Mayor Yana Mulyana who was also present at the event ensured that the Bandung City Government welcomed 2022 with optimism.
Yana explained that the key to the success of the City of Bandung is to continue to provide maximum service despite almost two years of being hit by the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to him, collaboration between lines ranging from the Bandung City Government, Bandung City DPRD, to the participation of the community is the key to the success of running the government even in an atmosphere that is not easy.
“I am a person who was born and grew up in Bandung. I believe that if the people of Bandung are invited to work together, they will definitely want to,” said Yana, highlighting the spirit of collaboration that makes Bandung even more superior.
For information, a total of 307 awards have been won by the Bandung City Government in the period 2018 to 2021.
Of these, 81 of them were achieved throughout 2021, aka during the Covid-19 pandemic.
In line with this achievement, the chairman of the Bandung City DPRD, Tedy Rusmawan, expressed his appreciation. He considered the Bandung City Government's achievement as something extraordinary.
“It's rare for a city to get this many awards. Applause first for the city of Bandung, "he exclaimed.
According to him, the success and brilliant achievements of the Bandung City Government depart from the trust that has been built from the community and government.
He highlighted the occurrence of the mid-2021 pandemic as an example of how solid cooperation between the Government and the community is.
“This award is due to the 'trust' from all parties. We were awarded ASN who are creative and intelligent, and the people are also comfortable to collaborate with,” said Tedy.
In the future, Tedy believes that the Bandung City Government has homework to do, namely to make the achievements that have been inscribed can be felt by the community.
He suggested that the regions carry out a decentralized approach that has been echoed since the era of the Oded-Yana administration.
