Bandung City Government Inaugurates 319 PPPK

The Acting Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana, inaugurated 319 Government Employees with Non-Teacher Work Agreements (PPPK) at Plaza Bandung City Hall, Wednesday 9 March 2022.

The inauguration is coupled with taking the oath, and the submission of a decree on the appointment of a PPPK employee.

After the inauguration, Yana appreciated and congratulated the PPPK who had been inaugurated.

"Welcome to join PPPK, hopefully, we can provide new workers to grow a more professional and productive work culture," said Yana.

According to him, local government officials must have the initiative in working according to their principles and functions without having to wait for orders. The PPPKs who were appointed were part of this effort.

"PPPK in functional positions provides direction as a symbol of binding ASN employees within the City Government so that they can work professionally so as to help the Bandung City Government improve the performance of public services in the city of Bandung," he explained.

Yana believes that the chosen people are already reliable, have intellectual maturity and integrity, as well as the ability to develop themselves with a full sense of responsibility.

"Congratulations to PPPK for accepting the appointment decision with the hope that it will maintain the spirit of service, loyalty, discipline and always uphold the applicable laws," he added.

In the same place, the Head of the Bandung City Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency (BKPSDM), Adi Junjunan Mustafa explained, this time the inauguration was attended by 319 first-aid workers, 100 people as representatives.

Meanwhile, 219 other people took part in the online inauguration which was held through a hybrid.

"The PPPKs, 269 people are in the Health Office, because the needs in the city of Bandung for the deficit are large, so the instructions from the leadership for quotas are met. Even though there are 50 people, they have started to use regional apparatus," said Adi.

He explained, if viewed from the side of age, the Central Government did not provide enough space.

"The average is 5 years, that's why they are contracted from January 1, 2022 to December 2026, for the retirement age limit, for example, the age limit is 58 years, for example, there are those who are 55 years old, which means only 3 years of the work contract," he added.

He ensured that there would be regular performance appraisals every year for PPPK as a condition for contract extensions every year.

"So every year there is a performance assessment, if later it looks not good, in this case, the mayor, may make a decision," he said. (asy)**
