Professor of Unpar Prof. Asep Warlan Dies, Yana Grieves
Professor of Constitutional Law, Faculty of Law, Parahyangan University, Prof. Dr. Asep Warlan, S.H., M.H. died, Tuesday 15 March 2022. He breathed his last at Hasan Sadikin Hospital in Bandung at the age of 61 years. His body was interred at the Maleer V TPU at around 16.00, after Asr time.
Sad news enveloped the city of Bandung. Professor of Constitutional Law, Faculty of Law, Parahyangan University, Prof. Dr. Asep Warlan, S.H., M.H. died, Tuesday 15 March 2022.
The Bandung City Government (Pemkot) expressed deep condolences for the passing of Prof. Asep Warlan. This was conveyed by Plt. Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana.
"On behalf of the Bandung City Government, I would like to express my condolences for the death of Prof. Asep Warlan because of illness. Hopefully all his sins will be forgiven, all his deeds of worship will be accepted," Yana said.
According to Yana, Prof. Asep Warlan is an academic figure who helps the Bandung City Government a lot through his competence. The idea of Prof. Asep Warlan called Yana very applicable to be applied in the Bandung City Government.
“He helped the Bandung City Government a lot. I hope the bereaved family will be given fortitude," he said.
Prof. Asep Warlan was born in Bandung on July 9, 1960. His studies include Bachelor of Law at Parahyangan University in 1984.
He received his Masters education at Padjadjaran University in 1990 and continued his doctoral studies at the University of Indonesia in 2002.
The research that he has completed includes: “Policy Study on the Pattern of Environmental Management Supervision Relationships between the Center and the Regions in terms of Environmental Law Aspects”, being a speaker in “Workshop: Increasing the Capacity of the Roles and Functions of DPRD Members of South Kalimantan and Tanah Laut District” in 2007.
He published various scientific articles, one of which was "Imposition of Administrative Sanctions in Environmental Cases" which was published in the Journal of Litigation Law Vol. 6 No. 3, October 2005.
Prof. Asep Warlan has been active as part of the External Bestari Partner at Padjadjaran Jurnal Ilmu Hukum since January 2015. He also develops courses in Legal Studies, including: Administrative Law, Spatial Law, Regulatory Document Design, Legislation Science.
For information, Prof. Asep Warlan is also a member of the Policy Team at the Bandung City Government for the period 2018 to 2022.
Before he died, Prof. Asep Warlan is reported to have been undergoing treatment for one month due to his illness.
