The past two years, this mosque was forcibly unable to hold Tarawih together due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Although the government has lightened the regulations, the mosque still imposes strict health protocols for the Jemaah to prevent Covid-19 infections.

The Head of DKM of the mosque, KH Hasyim Ashari, said that, now, salat Tarawih was possible to be held again. However, the Jemaah must still comply with strict Covid-19 health protocols.

“We comply with strict health protocols. There are several procedures. This is our efforts in staying healthy,” said Hasyim in the mosque, Bandung City, West Java, Saturday.

Since Isya salat time, people start entering the mosque. They are asked to wear a mask in the mosque.

Additionally, they are also asked to bring their own prayer mat because the mosque does not use rugs for salat.

According to Hasyim, the mosque did not use rugs because the floor was easier to clean. However, he also ensured that people could still salat on the floor.

“Not using a prayer meat (is okay), Insyaallah, the floor is clean,” he said.

On the first Ramadan night, Jemaah of salat Tarawih filled almost half of the mosque.

With hundreds of Jemaah, the number was still far from the total capacity of the mosque that can hold up to 15 thousand Jemaah.

In this Ramadan 1443 H, the mosque also holds several activities. They are: iftar together, subuh sermon, and other activities. (syd)**
