Four Days Reach IDR 1.2 Billion, Bandung City Creative Market Optimistic to Exceed Target

The Bandung City Creative Market in 2022 will again be held at 6 Bandung City malls. In this Creative Market, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Bandung showcase their superior products, ranging from fashion, craft, to culinary.

The Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana, took the time to see the Creative Market which was being held at Trans Studio Mall (TSM), Tuesday 5 July 2022.

From the results of the dialogue with the participants, sales in the Creative Market this year showed positive results. At TSM, the Creative Market will be held until July 10.

"It's good (the sales) because offline and online sales are balanced. This is also momentum," Yana said on the sidelines of the review, Tuesday, June 5, 2022.

He revealed that during the four days of the TSM the turnover had reached IDR 1.2 billion.

"Hopefully there will be an acceleration of economic growth after the COVID-19 pandemic. Because even though the (Covid-19) trend is rising again, all recovery rates are high. This can be a trigger for economic acceleration. Purchasing power also looks good," Yana explained.

Please note, apart from TSM, the Creative Market will also be held at Festival City Link Mall (8-17 July), Cihampelas Walk (15-24 July), Paris Van Java Mall (22-31 July), Kings (29 July - 7 August), and 23 Pascal Mal (5-14 August).

Meanwhile, the Head of the Bandung City Trade and Industry Office, Elly Wasliah, said that the creative market turnover target in 6 malls was Rp. 6 billion.

"We are targeting Rp 6 billion in 6 malls. At TSM, there is one more weekend, hopefully it can reach Rp 2 billion," he said.

In the previous year 2021, the turnover of Creative Markets at TSM for 10 days reached Rp1.1 billion.

"This shows the economic stretch in the city of Bandung which is quite high," he said.

Elly explained that the business actors in each mall are 30 MSMEs. So that the total MSMEs involved in the Creative Market are 180 MSMEs.

"In 1 mall there are 30 business actors, fashion, kraft and culinary, so there are 180 MSME actors involved. There are 54 new faces of MSME actors who were on the waiting list yesterday," he said.

Regarding consumers, Elly said, apart from residents of Bandung, there are also residents outside the city of Bandung.

"There are also buyers from outside Bandung. Because many people from outside (Bandung) play here," he said. (yan)**
