With UHC, the people of Bandung City will become participants of the National Health Insurance (JKN) and get health insurance rights.

Director of RSUD Bandung Kiwari, dr. Taat Tagore explained that every government hospital is required to serve patients who have BPJS or Healthy Indonesia Card (KIS).

So, every Bandung City community can seek treatment through UHC as long as they meet the requirements in accordance with Bandung Mayor Regulation (Perwal) Number 1,457 of 2018 and updated to Number 308 of 2019.

“The requirement is to have the identity of the City of Bandung for more than 1 year. Then, for babies who are more than 1 month old, they must have entered a family card (KK). There are no family members who are registered as active BPJS participants," said Taat.

"For BPJS class 1 participants who are 6 months in arrears, they must be willing to be in class 3. Because this is related to the payment scheme," he continued.

He said that almost all facilities could be covered by UHC at the Bandung Kiwari Hospital. However, if it is related to programs such as pregnancy programs or those in the cosmetic category, it cannot be covered.

The current status of the Bandung Kiwari Hospital is in class B with 500 bed capacities.

There also have complete facilities, but still processing in several facilities such as for mother and child, eye, neurosurgery, pediatric surgery, orthopedics, and urology.

"As a hospital that has become a Regional Public Service Agency (BLUD), we also provide home care and drive thru services for Covid. Patients can also register via the website, telephone, and Whatsapp to make it easier," he said.

For Covid-19 patients at the Bandung Kiwari Hospital, now there are not as many cases as last February. Now the number of Covid-19 patients is only around a maximum of two people.

"There is also no significant increase in Covid patients in us. At least the number is only 0-2 cases, none of which is up to 5 cases per day," he added. (din)**
