Head of the Data and Statistics Division of the Bandung City Communication and Information Office (Diskominfo), Rina Karlina said the Bandung City Government and Bandung City BPS are synergizing to run the Beauty program.

According to Rina, the Beautiful Village/Kelurahan 2022 program was initiated to increase the capacity of sub-districts in identifying data needs and their potential in order to support poverty alleviation.

"This is also to optimize the use and utilization of statistical data so that development programs in urban villages are right on target," he told Public Relations of Bandung City, Tuesday, August 9, 2022.

The three sub-districts were selected based on the Village/Kelurahan index and were an independent proposal from the Bandung City BPS to be included in the 2022 Cinta Statistics Urban Village program.

Through this program, village human resources will be trained to process urban village monograph data. Then present it into information and infographics that are easily understood by the public.

"Because, one of the goals of the Beautiful Village/Kelurahan program is actually to increase competence, literacy, awareness and the active role of sub-districts and the community in organizing statistical activities," he said.

With the election of the three urban villages in Bandung, Rina hopes that they can be a motivation for other urban villages.

Other kelurahan could be more literate to statistics and development benefits based on data.

"Together with Diskominfo, Bapelitbang and BPS Bandung City continue to collaborate and synergize to maximize or expand the coverage of Desa/Kelurahan Cinta statistics in other urban villages," he said.

In addition, this program is also an effort to standardize statistical data management to maintain the quality and comparability of statistical indicators.

In addition, Rina continued, statistical agents will be formed at the kelurahan level.

There are several criteria for selecting selected villages/kelurahan in the Beautiful Village/Kelurahan program.

First, village status based on the results of the 2021 Village Index (ID) with the most ID status categories in districts/cities.

In addition, it is also seen from the education level of the village head/lurah/village apparatus and the presence of computers or the internet at the village/kelurahan office

Furthermore, the kelurahan will receive assistance in carrying out statistical activities and have agents who are members of the community who can understand the importance of data and statistics.

"Knowledge of human resources in urban villages about sectoral statistics is increasing, so that updating sectoral data will be better and sustainable. The sectoral data needed for regional development purposes will be better and of higher quality," he said. (rob)**
