10 cultural figures win the Bandung City Cultural Award
The Bandung City Government (Pemkot) gave the Cultural Award to 10 people who were considered to have made Bandung City proud through their work and achievements.
The recipients of the Cultural Award are:
1. Aan Merdeka Permana, field of literature
2. Dadan Sutisna, Sundanese cultural documentator
3. Ensemble Kyai Fatahillah, the field of music
4. Gending Raspuzi, field of revitalization of disabled people
5. Ibnu Pratomo, the field of traditional technology
6. Isa Perkasa, the field of fine arts
7. Rahmat Kurnia, field of environmental conservation
8. Ridwan Hutagalung, inheritance heritage field
9. Tjetje Raksa Muhammad, theater field
10. Invites Ahmad Darsa, philologist
"The Bandung City Government expresses its extraordinary appreciation for this activity. We are consistent in giving appreciation to humanists who have been preserving works and introducing Sundanese culture. Not only regionally, nationally and even internationally," said Yana.
According to him, even during the Covid-19 pandemic, humanists continued to innovate and create good works.
"Even though the Covid-19 pandemic has had socio-economic impacts on culture and others, humanists have never stopped innovating and creating extraordinary works," he said.
In Yana's opinion, without culture there will be no civilization, so it must be preserved starting from the smallest things.
"We must guard this culture together and we must preserve it together," he said.
Meanwhile, Head of the Culture and Tourism Office of the City of Bandung, Arief Syaifuddin said, the Bandung City Cultural Award is an annual agenda carried out by the Disbudpar as a form of appreciation for artists and humanists who have made the city of Bandung proud through their work and achievements.
"This Cultural Award has been going on since 2006 until now. As many as 183 cultural artists have received cultural awards from the Bandung City Government," he said.
This year's theme is "mere dangiang, mawa bandung kajahana". The hope is that this activity can further increase the love and enthusiasm for preserving one's own culture.
The stages of the activity began with the selection of potential recipients of the 2022 Bandung City Culture Award, 10 (ten) people were selected.
The jury or assessment team consists of 5 (five) people consisting of various elements and those who are competent in their respective fields including academics, humanists and artists.

In the same place, the Chairperson of the Bandung City DPRD, Tedy Rusmawan expressed his appreciation to the humanists who have made the name of the City of Bandung proud.
"We appreciate this event. Even during the pandemic, this cultural awarding istiqomah continues. I hope this must be maintained, of course with a more visionary theme," he said.
"Culture must lead us in a better direction for the welfare of society. Bringing the vision of a superior Bandung according to the vision and mission of the city of Bandung which is superior, comfortable, prosperous and religious," added Tedy. (yan)**
