Peninjauan Kawasan PKL Sukajadi, Kamis 24 November 2022.

This was conveyed during a field survey on Jalan Sukajadi, Bandung City.

"We will handle and organize street vendors in the Jalan Sukajadi area. Besides that, it is also in the Hasan Sadikin Hospital area," he said when giving directions, Wednesday, November 24, 2022.

Ema explained that the arrangement in the Hasan Sadikin Hospital (RSHS) area was also waiting for collaboration with the hospital to determine the location for the transfer of street vendors, especially those on the west side (Simple Road canal) and also Hospital Road.

"Please, Mr. Camat, Mr. Head of the KUKM Service, to coordinate with the hospital, hopefully in the near future the land for managing street vendors on this road (Simple Road canal) will be clear," Ema ordered.

Furthermore, if it has been regulated, Ema advised that there is no longer tolerance for street vendor activities in areas that have been declared red zones.

This also applies along Jalan Sukajadi, which is declared a street vendor red zone.

“No, for whatever reason, that location should not be used for trading. Its importance is for traffic lanes, the sidewalks are used as a place for pedestrians to walk,” he said.

Currently, Ema is temporarily asking for a PKL arrangement system in the area by setting a time limit. This means that street vendors in the Jalan Sukajadi area are allowed to continue trading, but are not allowed to leave their trading equipment on site.

"Again, this is temporary," he said.

Regarding the arrangement of street vendors, Ema explained, there was no intention of the Bandung City Government to kill the community's business. This is so that the city of Bandung becomes a comfortable city that can be enjoyed by all parties, both the people and the tourists who come.

“We want to restore the old history of Jalan Sukajadi as a beautiful, clean and comfortable road. We present this convenience because the city of Bandung is not only enjoyed by us, but also by guests who come to visit Bandung," said Ema.

In addition to the Sukajadi Street area, the Bandung City Government also organizes street vendors in several areas such as the Cihampelas Terrace Area, Gasibu Field, Cicadas, and Bandung Square. (ray)**
