Sekretaris Daerah (Sekda) Kota Bandung, Ema Sumarna menyampaikan, fly over ini menjadi salah satu alternatif pemecah kemacetan di Jalan Nurtanio. 25 November 2022

The plan for the construction of the Nurtanio flyover which stretches from Nurtanio Street to Abdurahman Saleh Street with a length of 550 meters will be worked on in August 2023. Construction is targeted for completion in April 2024.

This program is a program from the central government implemented in the city of Bandung to support the Jakarta-Bandung fast train as a form of connectivity.

Regional Secretary (Sekda) for Bandung City, Ema Sumarna said that this flyover is an alternative to solving traffic jams on Jalan Nurtanio.

"The time aspect is clearly measurable. One more flyover will be present to break up the existing traffic jams. The city of Bandung has long dreamed of this," said Ema during a discussion with the PUPR Ministry, Friday 25 November 2022.

However, he emphasized that development should be focused on green infrastructure. So it is necessary to improve drainage and reforestation for affected trees.

"Drainage also needs to be improved. Earlier from Bappelitbang said, please help with the arrangement of the corridor underneath for greening. The concept must be green infrastructure," he said.

The basis for an official letter from the central government through the Satker to the Bandung City Government is still being processed as a condition for determining the location (penlok). Because it is undeniable that if indeed in the process of land acquisition the community should not be harmed.

"Especially for those whose land was taken by this penlok plan. The principle is not to harm the community. The road engineering must also be clear during construction so as not to disturb traffic," he explained.

According to him, with the presence of the Nurtanio flyover, the value of its benefits will increase after the high-speed rail is completed.

"Because after people get off the train they can immediately get through this fly over," he said.

Meanwhile, Head of Work Unit PJM Region IV West Java Ministry of PUPR, Dedi Hariadi explained, the costs spent by the central government for the release and compensation money (UGR) were as much as IDR 120 billion.

"The initial calculation results for exemption and UGR are IDR 120 billion. But if for example it's not enough, we can add more," admits Dedi.

His team through the camat and lurah have coordinated with the local community. There are three sub-districts that are passed by this flyover, namely Garuda, Dunguscariang, and Husein Sastranegara Villages.

"The total land area is 4,565 square meters. This flyover consists of one lane and two lanes," he explained.

Construction will be worked on for 10 months. The planning stage for the penlok starts in December 2022, with a maximum of December 31, 2022.

"So that the stage of land provision can be no later than March, we have paid compensation for all of them. So that we can conduct an auction in April 2023," he said. (din)**
