In order to accelerate this program, the Bandung City Population and Civil Registration Service (Disdukcapil) held a Public Communication Forum (FKP), Monday 6 March 2023. The Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana was also present at this event.

Yana said that Bandung City's infrastructure is ready to support this IKD program. Moreover, the aim of this program is to make it easier for people to get services.

"Even though it's not mandatory, the infrastructure in the city of Bandung is relatively more prepared. The people of the city of Bandung are also used to digitalization. So this will certainly make service easier," said Yana after the event.

Yana said that IKD could be an alternative for Bandung City residents to more easily access services and obtain government assistance.

Meanwhile, the Director General for Dukcapil of the Indonesian Ministry of Home Affairs, Erikson P. Manihuruk, said that currently this IKD can be accessed digitally and manually.

"The principle is to make public services easier. Indeed, not all people have smartphones and sufficient internet access. But I think the city of Bandung is more prepared," he said.

Erikson ensured that the IKD was safe because the data verification was carried out by the agency concerned. Disdukcapil will also provide ball pick-up services.

Meanwhile, the Head of Disdukcapil for the City of Bandung, Tatang Muhtar said, the socialization and activation of the IKD was carried out in stages. Starting with Ditjendukcapil employees, Regency/City Dukcapil employees, ASN Region of the Republic of Indonesia, academics and the general public.

Currently, the Bandung City Disdukcapil has facilitated the activation of citizenship identity for all employees within the Bandung City Government since February 2023. Gradually, it has also targeted academics starting from IPDN and Bandung Islamic University.

"The national target given for the implementation of the IKD is 25 percent of the total population who have recorded and obtained an e-KTP. In the city of Bandung, the IKD achievement target is around 465,000 people," said Tatang. (sya)**
