"I feel grateful, the Mayor's Cup championship in the Tarung Degrees sport has been held 7 times. This championship is of course one of the sports calendars that must be maintained consistently," said Yana.

Yana hopes that a championship like this will become a long-awaited agenda to produce quality athletes.

"Always produce quality athletes and give birth to achievements in the regional, national and even international arenas," hoped Yana.
 
For this reason, Yana hopes that the participants can take part in the competition seriously. At least able to foster a culture of achievement.

"Have fun competing, have fun fighting, uphold sportsmanship, maintain team cohesiveness, and prioritize the spirit of unity and oneness with other participants," said Yana.

In the same place, the Organizing Committee for Tarung Degrees Mayor of Cup VII, Dewi Kaniasari explained, the basis for this activity refers to Law number 20 of 2003 concerning the national education system and Law number 3 of 2005 concerning the national sports system.

"The goal is to grow, develop and maintain talent to channel hobbies in the field of martial arts through learning and training in Tarung Degrees," said Kenny, his nickname.

The categories contested in this championship are fighting and movement arts. While the levels are elementary, middle school, high school and General boys and girls.

"There are a total of 283 participants. It is hoped that they will be able to score champions and give birth to talented young people for the city of Bandung," he said.

The same hope was conveyed by the Tarung Degrees teacher, Aa Ahmad Degrees. He hopes that this championship will continue to train young talents to be better at Tarung Degrees.

However, Aa Boxer, his nickname, asked the participants to prioritize sportsmanship and togetherness.
