Let's Reduce Waste Production During Eid, Here's the Way
The Sarimukti Final Disposal Site (TPA) in West Bandung Regency will not operate during Idul Fitri 1444 Hijriah. Thus, there is no service for transporting waste from TPS Kota Bandung to TPA Sarimukti.
Therefore, the Bandung City Environment Service appealed to residents to be able to minimize waste production.
Residents have also been asked not to throw garbage at polling stations, gathering points on the side of the road or throw garbage anywhere.
There are several tips for reducing or retaining waste during Eid Al-Fitr including;
1. Use environmentally friendly packaging such as boxes or reusable containers. In addition, cloth bags that can be washed and reused.
2. Avoid using plastic packaging, styrofoam, or other disposable materials.
3. Choose durable or non-perishable food ingredients such as pastries, biscuits, dried fruit.
4. Buying groceries with the right amount so it doesn't go to waste.
