65 Bandung City Representatives are Ready to Compete in STQH XVIII West Java Level
As many as 27 regencies and cities are ready to compete in the 18th Tilawatil Quran Selection (STQH) at the West Java Province level. This selection will take place over the next seven days from 7-13 May 2023.
Caravans from various regions consisting of 460 participants will compete to be the best caravan of West Java.
The winners will represent West Java at the national level which will be held in Jambi Province. As the host, the City of Bandung sent 65 participants from 22 caravans.
With the spirit of Bandung Champion, achieve hope and victory. The group of STQH participants from Bandung City was led by Asep Saeful Gufron.
"Hopefully the Bandung City caravan will get the best results and be able to regain the title of overall champion," said Acting Mayor of Bandung, Ema Sumarna at the release of the 18th STQH Bandung City Caravan at the West Java Province level.
Ema hopes that the city of Bandung will get the best results.
"Mentally and strategy, you have to be confident. This year's Bandung City Caravan must be better than before. We are sure that we have the potential and method to face the competition later," said Ema.
Meanwhile, the Head of West Java LPTQ, Dedi Supardi explained the purpose of holding STQH was to ground the values of the Qur'an and hadith in West Java.
"Hopefully it can give birth to a millennial generation of the Koran and increase understanding of the values of the Koran and hadith," said Dedi.
He explained, there are four branches that are discussed, consisting of:
1. Al-Qur'an Recitation Branch:
Group of Adult Boys and Girls
Group of Children Boys and Girls
2. Hifzh Al-Qur'an Branch:
Group 1 Juz and Men's and Women's Recitations
Group 5 Juz and Men's and Women's Recitations
Group 10 Juz Boys and Girls
Group 20 Juz Boys and Girls
Group 30 Juz Boys and Girls
3. Branch of Interpretation of the Qur'an:
Arabic group along with memorizing 30 juz for men and women
4. Branch of Prophetic Hadith:
Memorizing Group of 100 Hadith with male and female sanad
Group Memorizing 500 Hadith without sanad, male and female
Class of Scientific Writing on the Hadith of the Prophet Sons and Daughters (Exhibition).
Meanwhile, the Head of the West Java Regional Office of the Ministry of Religion, Ajam Mustajam said that the current challenge for the people is related to balance, tolerance and diversity in religious values.
"The Al-Qur'an and Hadith teach aspects of balancing these values. STQH is one of the efforts to show life balance," said Ajam.
He hopes that this activity can also be a source of Islamic ukhuwah that can bring West Java to become a champion. (din)**
