The street vendors were proven to be trading and storing goods or trading tools in a prohibited place (red zone), last Tuesday, May 2, 2023.

Head of the Investigation and Enforcement Section of the Bandung Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP), Mujahid Syuhada said the offenders who were being tried at the tipping were the result of controlling street vendors selling in the red zone on Jalan Otista, Ciguriang and Cilaki.

Mujahid emphasized that the control will continue to be intensified in order to give a deterrent effect to stubborn street vendors. Thus, the red zone is free from street vendors and can be utilized by the community according to its designation.

"For this reason, we ask for no more street vendors selling in the red zone. Currently, we are withholding evidence so that there is a deterrent effect," he said, Saturday, May 13, 2023.

Violators are punished with fines ranging from IDR 50,000 to IDR 150,000, a subsidiary of 3-7 days in confinement.

They were proven guilty of violating Article 21 paragraph (1) letter f Jo. Article 55 Regional Regulation No. 9 of 2019 concerning Peace and Public Order in the City of Bandung. (rob)**
