Bandung City Ready to Win General Champion of Porpemda 2023
Acting Mayor of Bandung, Bambang Tirtoyuliono released 279 athletes who will compete in the 2023 Regional Government Sports Week (Porpemda) at City Hall, Friday 24 November 2023.
The Bandung City contingent is the contingent with the largest number of athletes in the 2023 Porpemda.
Bambang hopes that this year the city of Bandung can achieve the achievement of becoming overall champion. Moreover, the Bandung City Government has provided the best facilities for the contingents competing in Kuningan.
"Have fun participating in the competition. Be careful when playing this sport. You have to be united and have the same spirit," he said.
Meanwhile, the Bandung City Regional Secretary and Chair of the Bandung City Contingent, Ema Sumarna, said that the Porpemda will last for 5 days in Kuningan Regency.
"The contingent departs on November 25, then the ceremony on November 26. Then, the follow-up match will be on November 27-29 2023," said Ema.
Ema admitted that the Bandung City contingent was the largest contingent from West Java Province. Consisting of 15 managers, 34 coaches, 45 officials and 185 athletes.
"Our contingent takes part in all existing sports, namely 15 sports," he said.
The sports participated in by the Bandung City contingent include billiards, basketball, volleyball, badminton, chess, futsal, walking, golf, fitness gymnastics, field tennis, table tennis, stilts, long tarumpah, hadang and blowpipe. (din)**
