West Java Porpemda XV/2023: Bandung City Achieves Victories in a Number of Sports

The Bandung City contingent has started its struggle. The first sport that was competed was basketball. The Bandung City basketball team managed to achieve victory against Bogor City in a match held at the Ewangga Kuningan GOR.

Meanwhile, the Bandung City badminton team team also got maximum results after beating Cirebon Regency, 3-0.

In men's and women's team tennis, Bandung City managed to win over West Bandung Regency. However, in the second match, the Bandung City men's team tennis team had to recognize the superiority of Tasikmalaya City.

In other matches, men's individual table tennis managed to beat Cirebon City. The victory was also followed by the women's individual who managed to beat Bekasi Regency.

Meanwhile, in the men's team table tennis sector, Bandung City beat hosts Kuningan Regency and Garut Regency.

The women's volleyball sport also managed to gain superiority in Bogor Regency. Meanwhile, men's volleyball beat the West Java Province team. Unfortunately, in the second match, Bandung City had to recognize the superiority of Banjar City.

Meanwhile in Hadang Sports, the men's team managed to beat Sukabumi City and advance to the next phase. The women's team failed at the hands of Ciamis Regency.

For this matter, the Regional Secretary of Bandung City as Chair of the Bandung City Contingent, Ema Sumarna appreciated the struggle of the athletes who had started competing.

"I would like to thank the athletes who have started fighting even though there are still missed targets," said Ema during the evaluation and giving motivation to the contingent at the Horison Kuningan Hotel, Sunday 26 November 2023.

Ema hopes that the athletes can focus on each match and achieve the best results. He also reminded the athletes to be serious and maintain their health while participating in the competition.

"With enthusiasm, we can exceed our achievement targets. Don't be too overconfident. Once again, don't be overconfident about your opponents, you have to be serious about the journey, there is still a long way to go," he said.

"Hopefully everything will be optimal and I remind you to maintain your health. The large contingent must be large with achievements. Maintain the fighting spirit. Maintain unity without partying without unity," he added.

The Bandung City contingent still competed in several sports on the second day. Such as golf, walking, futsal, gymnastics, tennis, blowpipe, eggrang, long tarumpah and several other sports.

For information, the XVth West Java Regional Government Sports Week (Porpemda) in 2023 will last until November 29 2023.
