Winning 18 Medals, Bandung City Finishes in the Top Four of Porpemda XV

Pekan Olahraga Pemerintah Daerah (Porpemda) XV Jawa Barat Tahun 2023 di Kabupaten Kuningan resmi ditutup, Rabu 29 November 2023. Kontingen Kota Bandung Finish di peringkat 4 pada klasemen akhir dengan raihan 18 medali yang terdiri 4 medali emas, 8 medali perak dan 6 medali perunggu.

The four gold medals were won by billiards in the 9 ball doubles category, women's volleyball, men's team track and field tennis and mixed doubles.

Meanwhile, 8 silver medals from the Bandung City Contingent were won from West Java Champion gymnastics, men's doubles table tennis, men's team hurdles, women's team stilts, men's team blowgun, women's as well as men's individual and team golf.

Meanwhile, 6 bronze medals were won from billiards in the 10 ball double category, billiards in the 8 ball double category, men's team badminton, men's team table tennis, men's team stilts and individual golf.

The Bandung Regency contingent emerged as the overall champion of West Java Regional Government XV with 7 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 6 bronze medals.

Ciamis Regency took second place with 7 gold medals, 1 silver medal and 8 bronze medals. Meanwhile, West Java Province sits in third place with 5 gold medals, 8 silver medals and 7 bronze medals.

At the closing ceremony of Porpemda XV, Acting Regional Secretary of West Java Province, Taufiq Budi Santoso gave his highest appreciation to the athletes who had fought in this event.

"I congratulate the winners in each sport and the other athletes who continue to be enthusiastic and fight in other events," he said.

He also expressed his appreciation to the host Kuningan Regency for successfully holding Porpemda XV.
