RPJPD Musrenbang, Acting Mayor of Bandung: Collaboration to Make Dreams Come True for the Next 20 Years

Acting Mayor of Bandung, Bambang Tirtoyuliono, emphasized the importance of collaboration between all stakeholders in realizing the dream of the City of Bandung in the next 20 years to become a city that is comfortable to live in, safe for all, investment friendly, controlled traffic jams, with educated residents, a good city, a smart city, and innovative.

He expressed this when opening the 2025-2045 Regional Long Term Development Plan (RPJPD) Regional Development Planning Conference (Musrenbang) for Bandung City at the eL Royale Hotel, Wednesday 27 March 2024.

"Today we are holding a deliberation to make dreams come true for Bandung in the next 20 years through discussing the Bandung City RPJPD for 2025-2045. This is
"a fundamental foundation to fill development for the next 20 years," said Bambang.

He said, based on 2023 data, the Human Development Index (HDI) for Bandung City was 83.04; Economic Growth Rate (LPE) of 5.07; Gini ratio of 0.459; The poverty rate was 3.96 and the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) reached 8.83.

These figures form the basis for planning for the next 20 years. Of course, in a document that has been drafted and discussed many times and will be refined by the Bandung City DPRD Special Committee.

Bambang said that the population growth rate in Bandung City continues to increase by an average of 0.3 percent per year. According to him, this is a challenge that requires preparation and what to do.

He also said that there were at least 5 strategic issues contained in the Bandung City RPJPD document for 2025-2045, namely human development, government, economy, infrastructure, environment.

"This is one of the many issues that we must anticipate in long-term development planning documents. This is part of what we anticipate for the next 20 years," he said.

Bambang is optimistic that if all stakeholders work together to build, the dream of the city of Bandung can come true.

"This collaboration is very, very important, it cannot be placed on the government alone, it needs help from all stakeholders," he said.

"Hopefully the RPJPD which will be prepared and discussed in the Special Committee can fulfill the dreams of all of us in the next 20 years," he added.

Meanwhile, Acting Regional Secretary for the City of Bandung, Hikmat Ginanjar, said that the RPJPD Musrenbang is one of the stages in preparing the RPJPD for the City of Bandung for 2025-2045.

Previously, a public consultation forum for the initial draft of the RPJPD was held on 18 December 2023, and a discussion of the initial draft with the Bandung City DPRD (5 March 2024).

"The entire process has been carried out in accordance with applicable laws and regulations," he said.

Hikmat said that the Musrenbang aims to obtain input for improvements to the RPJPD for the city of Bandung for 2025-2045.

On this occasion, the Minutes of the RPJPD Musrenbang were also signed by Bandung City Chamber of Commerce and Industry Iwa Kartiwa, Parahyangan University Lecturer Cristrian Widya Wicaksono, Head of BKAD Agus Slamet Firdaus, Head of Bapelitbang Anton Sunarwibowo, Bandung City Naval Base Commander, Bandung City DPRD Chairman Tedy Rusmawan and Acting Mayor of Bandung, Bambang Tirtoyuliono.

The event was also attended by 300 participants consisting of Forkopimda, heads of regional apparatus, sub-district heads, BUMD directors, community organizations, university leaders, mass media leaders and other elements of society. (rob)**
