Among other things, residents are advised not to give money to beggars, and not to have sahur on the road, aka Sahur on the Road, and fireworks are prohibited.

"The public is advised to keep the city of Bandung conducive during Ramadan, not to do anything that could disturb public order. "One of them is not giving money to beggars at intersections," explained the Head of the Bandung City National and Political Unity Agency (Bakesbangpol), Bambang Sukardi at Bandung City Hall, Thursday, March 28 2024.

According to Bambang, residents who want to donate are better channeled through official institutions.

"For example, at official zakat amil institutions, social welfare institutions or institutions that already have a permit to collect money and goods (PUB)," he explained.

Regarding Sahur on The Road, Bambang assessed that this activity has the potential to cause disruption to traffic and security.

This appeal also includes a prohibition on lighting firecrackers or fireworks, illegal racing and convoys that could disrupt public order, especially on the eve of takbiran.

"This message is a joint effort to maintain order and peace in the city of Bandung," said Bambang.

This appeal is also based on a joint commitment to implementing Regional Regulation no. 9 of 2019 concerning the trandibum, which is the legal basis for maintaining public order and security.

"The public can pay more attention to behavior that supports the creation of safe and conducive conditions, and avoid actions that could endanger themselves and others," he hoped. (ziz)**
