Increased Participation, Bandung Residents Donate Rp273 Million in PMI Fund Month
"Kindness is contagious", this term is one embodiment of the high participation of Bandung residents during the 2021 Indonesian Red Cross Funding Month (PMI).
Since its launch on July 1 - December 31, 2021, donations from the Bandung City PMI Fund Month program have reached more than IDR 1.8 billion.
In a gathering meeting between PMI Bandung City and the Bandung City Government on Monday, January 10, 2022, Deputy Secretary for the Month of Funds for PMI Bandung City, Ijang Faisal, explained several interesting points about the data on the results of the program.
Ijang explained that as much as Rp.273 million in donations during the Fund Month program came from the participation of Bandung residents.
"In fact, when compared to other sectors, donations from Bandung residents coordinated by RT and RW are the highest contributors to the 2021 Bandung City PMI Fund Month program," said Ijang.
The high participation of Bandung residents in the 2021 Bandung City PMI Fund Month was also highly appreciated by Plt. Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana who also attended the gathering with PMI Bandung City.
"We really appreciate the high participation of Bandung residents in the 2021 Bandung City PMI Fund Month program yesterday," he said.
"This means that this activity is in accordance with its original purpose, namely to increase community participation in raising funds, helping each other," added Yana.
From the data submitted by PMI Bandung City, there are three sub-districts that have succeeded in exceeding the fundraising target for the 2021 Bandung City PMI Fund Month program.
Among them, Regol Sub-district which reached 188 percent, Cidadap Sub-district with achievements above 174 percent of the target, and Cibeunying Kidul Sub-district which achieved over 125 percent of the target. (dina)**
