Pertamina ensured that fuel (BBM) supply in Bandung City was secured. Starting from Pertalite, Subsidized Solar, and other kinds of fuel.

It was stated by the Sales Branch Manager of Pertamina, Warim Wirio, to the Acting Mayor of Bandung City, Yana Mulyana, in the City Hall of Bandung City, Friday, 8 April 2022.

He admitted the scarcity of Pertalite in Bandung City some time ago. He believed that it happened because there was an increase of demands by the public before Ramadan. It also happened when there was an issue during the distribution. So, BBM tanks heading to Bandung City were late.

“Lastly, the issue of Pertalite price increase ignited panic buying,” he said.

“Starting from this week, Pertalite in Bandung City is availably secured, Pertalite supply in fuel stations is sufficient for 8 days and mobiles keep coming, so we do not rely on the existing supply,” he said.

As a response, the Acting Mayor of Bandung City, Yana Mulyana, asked Bandung City residents not to be worried and panic buying in purchasing fuel.

Despite that fact, Yana hoped that Pertamina could consider making fuel prices affordable by the public.

“Subsidized solar price, compared to that of dexlite, is significantly different. I beg Pertamina to be more selective and increase it so subsidized solar is only for those people in need,” Yana said.

Additionally, the Head of the Trade and Industry Agency of Bandung City, Elly Wasliah, hoped that Pertamina could observe gas and fuel supply in the 10-day holiday. It was to anticipate people’s needs well.

“I hope Pertamina can guarantee fuel supply in anticipation to Eid Mubarak holidays for people travelling within and across cities,” she said. (asy)**
