This event is planned to be held on August 20, 2022 and is designed to welcome the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia as well as a series of the 212th Anniversary of the City of Bandung.

In addition to efforts to accelerate the economy through digital transactions with QRIS media, this event will also introduce Buruan Sae as an effort to strengthen food security which has an impact on economic growth, especially in the city of Bandung.

Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana, welcomed this event positively. According to Yana, the City of Bandung has agreed to transform public services to digital since the Covid-19 pandemic was hit.

"Our public services are accelerated so that they are digital-based," said Yana at Bandung City Hall, Tuesday, August 9, 2022.

For information, QRIS AdventuRUN is a series of the West Java Digital Economic Festival held by BI West Java.

This event will combine three elements: sports, education related to digital transactions based on QRIS, and food security efforts through the introduction of the Buruan Sae program.

QRIS AdventuRUN participants will later participate in a 7.5 kilometer run with 8 check points. The eight check points are mandatory posts that must be passed by participants, because in them there will be education on QRIS-based electronic transactions.

The registration fee for this event is Rp. 17,822 which refers to the 77th date of Indonesian independence (17-8-22) and is paid through the QRIS medium.

To note, these costs are intended to purchase plant seeds (chili and tomatoes) which will later be in line with the Buruan Sae program. Later, the participants will also receive education to plant the seeds of the two plants, to be applied at home.

"So it's not just sports. But there is also education related to the economy, as well as the environment and food security through the Buruan Sae program," said Deputy Head of Bank Indonesia West Java Representative, Jefri Dwi Putra.

He said the event is targeted to attract 1,000 participants.

For information, Jefri said that currently the Bandung City Government is ranked first as a regional government that implements electronic transactions in West Java.

The first rank achievement was obtained from the digitalization process in transactions at the local government level.

In semester 1 of 2021, the Bandung City Government was ranked 9th in West Java. Meanwhile, in the first semester of 2022, the Bandung City Government shot up to now occupy the first rank. (ray)**
