This was conveyed by the Mayor of Bandung, Yana Mulyana when inspecting the waste processing site at the Indonesian Army Cavalry Education Center (Pusdikkav), Jalan Purabaya, Padalarang, West Bandung Regency, Friday, September 2, 2022.

In this case, the Bandung City Government will collaborate with Pusdikkav.

Yana hopes that integrated waste management with the program to strengthen food security can be an alternative solution for handling waste.

"So later the waste processing will use Black Soldier Fly (BSF) and magot technology. Later it can be used as fish, chicken, duck, and other animal feed," said Yana.

He also hopes that this waste management program can generate economic circulation for the perpetrators.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Department of Agriculture and Food Security (DKPP) of the City of Bandung, Gin Gin Ginanjar, said that the principle of waste management would later adopt the majority of the Buruan Sae program.

“The waste will be processed, produced into compost, animal feed. And later food crops will be built to build food availability," he explained.

Gin Gin said that the utilization of this waste management program would be more integrated, efficient, and more types of food could be obtained from one area.

"Moreover, technically, Buruan Sae has integrated various foods," he explained.

Furthermore, the Bandung City Government will later use about 5 hectares of land in the Indonesian Army's Pusdikkav for this program.

For the initial stage, Gin Gin said there would be several samples and trials. He said this program will continue to be developed.

“The land potential is quite wide. This can be utilized optimally, of course by looking at the development of the samples, "said Gin Gin. (ray)**
