DPRD Provides 89 Recommendations for LKPJ 2022 Bandung City Government

Deputy Chairperson of the Bandung City DPRD, Kurnia Solihat conveyed 89 recommendations from the DPRD for the Accountability Statement Report (LKPJ) for the 2022 budget year of the Bandung City Government (Pemkot).

"Performance measurement focuses on financial aspects and program achievements. But to see the impact and welfare and satisfaction of the community, a more touching or holistic way of measuring performance needs to be considered," said Kurnia in a plenary meeting of the Bandung City DPRD, Friday, May 19, 2023.

The 89 recommendations consist of 28 recommendations on mandatory basic service matters covering the fields of education, health, public works and spatial planning, housing and residential areas, trantibum, and social affairs.

In mandatory non-basic service matters, there are 35 recommendations covering the fields of labor, women's empowerment and child protection, food, environment, capil administration, community empowerment, family planning, transportation, communication and informatics, small and medium enterprise cooperatives, investment, youth and sports, culture and archives.

"In matters of choice, DPRD provides 5 recommendations covering the fields of tourism and trade," he said

Meanwhile, for government support affairs, there are 12 recommendations covering the fields of planning, finance, staffing, and training.

"We also provide 9 recommendations for other supporting matters," he added.

Responding to this, Acting Mayor of Bandung, Ema Sumarna said,
Bandung City Government will immediately fulfill the mandate and trust of the law.

"A total of 89 recommendations will be our priority to be followed up as soon as possible. We will report the results directly to the council," said Ema.

He said that his party has always used Law Number 30 of 2014 concerning the regional government administration system regarding the general principles of good governance as a guideline.

"This is our guideline for improving the quality of governance both in carrying out mandatory basic services and mandatory non-basic services," he said. (din)**
