Early Age Football Tournament, Acting Mayor of Bandung: We Have Many Athletes and Achievements to be proud of

Acting Mayor of Bandung, Bambang Tirtoyuliono appreciated and welcomed the U-9 to U-12 early childhood football tournament held by Sesko TNI AD Monday 16 October 2023.

This event is part of the TNI's 78th anniversary, and is also adjacent to the Cheap Food Movement (GPM) event at the TNI AD Sesko Field, Jalan Gatot Subroto, Bandung City.

In his speech, Bambang believed that the city of Bandung had achievements, athletes and prospective athletes who could make the entire community proud.

He also asked the football tournament participants to uphold sportsmanship in competing and give their best performance.

"I believe that you are potential athletes in the future," he said.

Apart from that, Bambang also expressed his appreciation to Sesko TNI AD for organizing a series of events, starting from football tournaments, to GPM which was centered at Sesko TNI AD Field.

"Today's activity coincides with the 78th anniversary of the TNI. We hope that the TNI will always be successful in maintaining the integrity of the nation and state," he said.

Meanwhile, the Institutional Director of the TNI AD Sesko, Brigadier General TNI Mandawan, said that holding this early childhood football tournament was a series of commemorations of the 78th anniversary of the TNI in 2023 as well as a form of participation by the TNI and especially the TNI AD Sesko in looking for new football players as well as strengthening a sense of brotherhood, togetherness, solidarity.

"Solidarity between fellow players and as a means to establish friendship between Sesko TNI AD residents and the people of the Bandung area," said Brigadier General TNI Mandawan.

He advised the players to play in the spirit of fair play, uphold sportsmanship by prioritizing feelings of friendship, brotherhood, unity and oneness in order to increase solidity among the players.

"This match is not just about winning or losing. But it is still a process of learning and developing into a better player," he said. (ray)**
