Friendly to the Elderly, Bandung Kiwari Hospital Has a Cool Service "Laraspurwa"
Bandung Kiwari Regional General Hospital (RSUD) continues to innovate in inclusive health services in the city of Bandung. The most advanced service is the Special Complete Elderly and Disability Friendly Service, known as Laraspurwa.
Director of Bandung Kiwari Regional Hospital, Yorisa Sativa, said that Bandung Kiwari Regional Hospital is now prioritizing services for the elderly and disabled.
"This step was taken because data shows that many elderly people and people with disabilities need more easily accessible health services," he said in a talk show on Radio Sonata, Wednesday 25 October 2023.
He revealed that the Laraspurwa RSUD Bandung Kiwari service was an effort to ensure more inclusive health services for all residents of Bandung City.
"This is a real example of how hospitals innovate and adapt to community needs. The aim is to provide better and friendlier services," he explained.
He hopes that Bandung City residents can take advantage of Laraspurwa Bandung Kiwari Regional Hospital in an effort to maintain health and get services that suit their individual needs.
"Even the Bandung Kiwari Hospital building has been adapted to the standards of the elderly and disabled. Facilities such as handrails, stairs and wheelchair access have become standard at this hospital," he said.
Yorisa added that RSUD Bandung Kiwari provides not only services for the elderly and disabled, but also provides 23 specialist and 17 sub-specialist services.
"The focus of this RSUD is to provide the best health services for all residents of Bandung City," he said.
Apart from that, Yorisa continued, special services such as 'one button service' have been introduced for elderly patients to get services without having to queue for a long time.
"Our regional hospital also has medical personnel trained in geriatrics, namely internal medicine specifically related to the elderly," added Yorisa.
Apart from that, he explained, Bandung Kiwari Hospital involves support from specialist doctors in various fields, including psychiatrists, psychologists and pediatric surgeons.
