Complete the development plan for the next 20 years, the Bandung City Government held a public discussion

In order to sustain the long -term development, the Bandung City Government has compiled the initial design. The RPJPD will be a guideline for elected mayors during the period of the next 20 years. All are described in the goals, strategies, and stages and priorities of development.

"The planning cycle has been regulated by the law. That for the next 20 years it must be prepared. So that today a public consultation is carried out on the initial draft that has been prepared. We want to know and input from the public," said the Acting Mayor of Bandung, Bambang Tirtoyuliono at the RPJPD Public Consultation Activity 2025 - 2045, at the Horizon Hotel, Monday 18 December 2023.

According to him, this public consultation forum became a vehicle to unite the vision, dialogue and exchange ideas, and formulate a joint vision towards a more advanced, just, with sustainable development.

"Not only is the pillar of Indonesia Emas 2045, but also a globalized city and increasingly calculated internationally. We all hope that cities that advance their economy and superior human resources," he said.

He asserted, the Bandung City RPJPD 2025-2045 was arranged using a technocratic, participatory, holistic, integrative, and spatial approaches.

For this reason, continued Bambang, it is necessary to involve various development actors to produce plans that can answer the needs of the community and urban problems.

"This is important as a basis for the preparation of future development planning," he said.

In the same place, the Head of the Bandung City Planning, Research and Development Agency (Bappelitbang), Anton Sunarwibowo revealed, the Public Consultation Forum is one of the stages of the many stages of the preparation of the Bandung City RPJPD in 2025-2045.

"Starting from the preparation of the initial draft RPJPD to the determination of the RPJPD," he said.

According to him, before the implementation of the Public Consultation Forum, a series of stages had been carried out in the preparation of the Bandung City RPJMD in 2025-2045, including:

1. Preparation of the Bandung City RPJPD evaluation in 2005-2025 in June 2023.

2. Preparation of "Background" Study and Problems and Strategic Issues of the City of Bandung which have been carried out in the period October - December 2023.

3. The Bandung City RPJPD drafting team in 2025-2045 was compiled in November 2023.

"The Public Consultation Forum is carried out based on the Regulation of the Minister of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia Number 86 of 2017 concerning Procedures for Planning, Control and Evaluation of Regional Development," he said.
