From Human Resources to Floods Become Priority Issues for the 2025 RKPD for the City of Bandung

Although currently still focused on completing the 2023 Regional Development Work Plan (RKPD), the Bandung City Government (Pemkot) is also discussing the 2025 RKPD.

This was conveyed by the Regional Secretary of Bandung City, Ema Sumarna at the 2025 RKPD Kick Off Meeting at the Horison Hotel, Tuesday 19 December 2023.

"Through this Kick Off Meeting we will determine the priority programs that will be implemented in 2025. Although now we are concentrating on completing the 2023 RKPD and we are also preparing to carry out the 2024 RKPD," said Ema.

He explained that the development planning for the city of Bandung, which will be outlined in the 2025 RKPD, must be able to integrate cross-sector development in a measurable manner. The aim is to be able to solve development problems currently being faced in the present and future.

"Through this process, it is hoped that a development planning pattern that is comprehensive, adaptive, innovative, sustainable and well integrated can be developed. So that it can be more measurable, focused and can be achieved well," he hoped.

The RKPD is guided by the Regional Development Plan (RPD) that has been established. Even though it is not in the form of a regional regulation, it is in the form of a regional head regulation.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Bandung City Development Planning, Research and Development Agency (Bappelitbang), Anton Sunarwibowo explained, the 2025 RKPD Kick off Meeting aims to obtain input or formulation of problems and strategic issues for the development of the City of Bandung in 2025 based on the direction of West Java Provincial and national policies.

"In the 2025 RKPD, the development goals and objectives include improving the quality and competitiveness of human resources, realizing bureaucratic reform that is capable, clean and accountable," explained Anton.

Apart from that, to increase the growth and equality of the city's economy, as well as the feasibility of city housing.

"The priority issues are population poverty, economic competitiveness, innovation and policy, optimizing digital infrastructure, human resource competitiveness, waste problems, traffic jams, floods and puddles, slum areas, and unemployment," he explained.

Participants in the kick off meeting this time consisted of heads of regional apparatus organizations (OPD), sub-district heads, leaders of BUMN and BUMD, mass media, universities. With a total of 170 participants.

Anton said that, overall, the stages of preparing the Bandung City RKPD for 2025 are as follows:
1. Preparation of the initial draft of the Bandung City RKPD for 2025.
2. Consultation of residents and verification of sub-districts, starting January 2024.
3. Musrenbang sub-district and sub-district verification in January 2024.
4. Sub-district Musrenbang in February 2024.
5. Implementation of regional apparatus forums in February 2024.
6. Preparation of the Bandung City RKPD Draft for 2024 will be carried out until March 2024.
7. Pre-Musrenbang implementation in February-March 2024.
8. City Musrenbang will be held in March 2024.
9. Final draft formulation in May 2024.

"The 2025 RKPD is the second year RKPD from the elaboration of the Bandung City RPD for 2024-2026. Therefore, good synergy and cooperation is needed between development stakeholders and all regional apparatus in making all Bandung City development targets a success," he hoped. (din)**
