On this occasion, the Acting Mayor of Bandung, Bambang Tirtoyuliono, said that as social creatures, the community needs to collaborate to accelerate development in the City of Bandung.

"Collaboration is a very beautiful word. The essence of the spirit of mutual cooperation and unity is a necessity that we must implement and carry out," said Bambang.

Therefore, to solve social problems in the city of Bandung, the Social Service is inviting various stakeholders to collaborate, one of which is the social welfare institution (LKS).

"We have also collaborated with several LKS. Assistance has also been provided to people with disabilities. There is even stimulus to carry out business activities for people who are categorized as poor," he explained.

He said that the city of Bandung, with a population of 2.56 million people, still has a fairly high poverty rate. Therefore, we need to work together to reduce poverty and accelerate development.

"In the next 10 days we will change a year. Of course 2024 must be better than 2023. Moreover, in February 2024 there will be an extraordinary political party," he said.

"I appeal to the people of Bandung City, let's maintain peace and conduciveness so that Bandung City becomes a superior and comfortable city for all of us," he added.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Bandung City Social Service, Sony Bakhtiyar, said that in the HKSN commemoration there were several series of activities, one of which was an assessment of the implementation of social welfare in 30 sub-districts.

"From this assessment, we have produced the 10 best sub-districts in 2023. Among them, Cibiru Sub-district won 1st place. Then followed by Sumur Bandung, Astanaanyar, Buahbatu, Bojongloa Kidul, Gedebage, Bandung Kulon, Cicendo, Rancasari, and Cibeunying Kaler," explained Sony.

Apart from that, there was also assistance provided from potential sources from philanthropic foundations or LKS amounting to IDR 532 million in the form of prosthetic limbs, prosthetic hands, canes, wheelchairs and carts for traders working in the informal sector.

"Hopefully we can graduate them out of the DTKS data. Bandung City has also collaborated with 107 LKS to provide assistance to people in need," he explained.

Sony admitted that the city of Bandung has the potential for 300 LKS. The average potential financial resources for each LKS is IDR 5 billion. In total, the potential that can be distributed is IDR 1.5 trillion.

"This is non-APBD financing that we continue to encourage and explore. 107 LKS have cooperation agreements. The total potential could reach IDR 536 billion," he said.

He hopes that through collaboration with various stakeholders, the government can immediately eradicate poverty in the city of Bandung. (din)**
