Dishub officers persecuted, let's enjoy the city of Bandung without breaking the rules!

An officer from the Bandung City Transportation Service (Dishub) became a victim of abuse while on duty around Gedung Sate, Bandung City, Monday 11 March 2024.

The incident started when members made arrangements and found the driver parked incorrectly. After being reprimanded, the perpetrator did not accept it and threw a bowl of porridge at the victim's head, causing the victim to bleed.

According to a report received by Bandung City Public Relations, the chronology of the incident is as follows:

- Bandung City Transportation Agency officers are appealing to motorists who park under the prohibition signs on Jalan Diponegoro.
- Finding the vehicle owner still enjoying porridge, the officer gave him a time tolerance.
- After approximately 10 minutes, the officer gave another warning. But neither was heeded.
- There was an argument between the vehicle owner and the officers.
- Suddenly, the perpetrator threw a bowl of porridge that hit the officer in the back of the head, causing an injury.
- The perpetrator also pointed a sharp weapon at the officers while threatening him, then left the location in his vehicle.
- A number of the victim's colleagues then chased the perpetrator. Arriving around Jalan Ahmad Yani-Riau, the vehicle and the perpetrator were successfully stopped.
- Fellow officers took the perpetrator to the Bandung Police office for further processing.

Due to this incident, the Acting Mayor of Bandung, Bambang Tirtoyuliono, asked all the people of Bandung City and tourists who were visiting Bandung City to obey the rules in force in Bandung City.

This concerns traffic signs and other regulations to create conduciveness in the city of Bandung.

“Enjoy the atmosphere in the city of Bandung by obeying the existing rules. "If there is a parking ban, don't violate it," he appealed.
