The control of the Covid-19 virus in the city of Bandung has a positive impact on several activities, one of which is face-to-face learning.

Starting Monday, January 10, 2022 tomorrow, students in the city of Bandung will go to school as usual.

Related to this, Plt. Bandung Mayor Yana Mulyana appealed to the public to always maintain health protocols even though the spread of the Covid-19 virus has been controlled in the city of Bandung.

"I entrust the health protocols not to be ignored. Because even in other countries where vaccinations are better, once people ignore the prokes, the rate of spread of the virus increases again. Naudzubillah, we only had until the second wave (mid-2021) yesterday," he said.

Previously, until the odd semester of 2021/22, parents could choose their children to take part in Limited Face-to-face Learning (PTMT) or Distance Learning (PJJ).

However, now all students are required to attend Limited Face-to-face Learning (PTMT) which is arranged by the respective education unit.

The city of Bandung applies 4 groups to run the PTMT simulation in semester 2 of the 2021/22 Academic Year. Simulation group 1 (330 education units) will run PTMT with a total of 100 percent.

Meanwhile, simulation group 2 (1,677 educational units alias the most) will run a PTMT simulation with a maximum student involvement of 75 percent.

Following simulation group 3 (632 education units) will run PTMT with a maximum capacity of 50 percent and the rest will enter simulation group 4 (educational units that have not run PTMT) with a maximum student capacity of 25 percent.

The duration of teaching and learning activities has also been adjusted. In PTMT, one day of teaching and learning activities is filled with a maximum of 6 hours of lessons.

The six hours are distinguished based on the level of the education unit (1X45 minutes for SMA/SMK equivalent, 1X40 minutes for SMP/MTs equivalent, 1X35 minutes for SD/MI equivalent).

As for Early Childhood Education (PAUD), teaching and learning hours are adjusted by the teacher.

The Limited Face-to-face Learning Evaluation (PTMT) will be conducted in one month. If the spread of the coronavirus in Bandug continues to experience a positive trend, the group of education units will level up.

For example, group 4 with a maximum capacity of 25 percent, if the trend improves, the capacity will increase to 50 percent.

Group 3 with a maximum capacity of 50 percent will increase to 50 percent, and group 2 with a capacity of 75 percent will increase to 100 percent. (ray)*
